ScotDIST has close links to The Higgs Centre for Innovation.

ScotDIST maintains close links with the Higgs Centre for Innovation.   The HCI is an STFC business incubation centre that will host twelve start-up companies, including four  in the data science sector.  

The HCI is based in a new building at the Royal Observatory Edinburgh, next to the Institute for Astronomy where a number of ScotDIST students will be based.

Industrial placements for ScotDIST sutdents can be taken at HCI companies, and events hosted by the HCI will be open to ScotDIST students, and vice versa. Our events page lists upcoming events in both organizations.
